Sammy Hagar Opens Restaurant at JFK Airport
Sammy Hagar celebrated the grand opening of his namesake restaurant, Sammy's Beach Bar & Grill, located at John F. Kennedy International Airport's (JFK) British Airways Terminal 7. The new full-service restaurant was created by Sammy Hagar and HMSHost Corporation, the creator of engaging travel dining and shopping experiences. The opening of Sammy's Beach Bar & Grill marks the third airport location of the popular Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's signature restaurant, following last recent successful HMSHost openings at Las Vegas McCarran and Maui's Kahului Airport.
"Music and dining are two of my great passions. Our menu is the result of recipes and advice I've received from some of my favorite friends and the celebrated chefs I've met in my travels across America. Guests can enjoy a great meal and know that they are making a difference to local children in need," said Sammy Hagar.
The vibrant colors and electric atmosphere ramp up the energy and excitement at this fun, casual beach house venue. Highlights of Sammy's legendary rock ‘n roll career wail out through the guitars and musical memorabilia, while generous plasma screens provide visual content ranging from news to music videos. Light and color blend with natural beach textures and materials, hip chairs and bold tables intermingle with surfboards and palm trees in an eclectic style.

Daughtry To Perform At JFK Airport’s Terminal 5 As Part Of JetBlue Concert Series
New York, NY, United States (AHN) – JetBlue is still making airline travel sound a lot sweeter than it is. They’ve scored Daughtry to perform at Terminal 5 at New York’s JFK Airport as part of their “Live from T5? concert series.
On Thursday, August 19th, those traveling through Terminal 5 at New York’s JFK Airport will be treated to a free 30-minute live performance from Daughtry. The concert will take place in the Marketplace at T5 which is post-security. Fans won’t be able to check it out unless they have a JetBlue flight out of that terminal.
“We’re excited to have Daughtry perform as part of our Live from T5 series, giving our customers unique entertainment experiences and the chance to see great performers live,” said Robin Hayes, chief commercial officer at JetBlue Airways.
“We are committed to keeping the JetBlue experience fresh and innovative in flight and on the ground — and we know Daughtry is going to be a big hit with all the lucky people at T5 on August 19th,” Hayes continued.

Port Authority Fee Possibilities Has JFK Off-Airport Parking Lots Up in Arms

United States Senator Charles E. Schumer announced last Thursday that John F. Kennedy International Airport has been awarded nearly $7 million by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under the U.S. Department of Transportation for taxiway rehabilitation. The grant awarded is worth $6.9 million and will be used for taxiway improvements, including pavement rehabilitation. This funding will in turn increase safety and reduce delays at the airport that have often plagued travelers and cost New Yorkers time and huge amounts of money.

We heard about this a while back. Thought it was only a rumor. That is not the case. The store is open and I learned this was the case from a customer that was checking out of our Airport Parking facility. I saw the Victoria's Secret shopping bag. She talked about it for about ten minutes.
